Al Faez Specialities Hospital in Baghdad is a 14,00,000 sq. ft. multispeciality healthcare facility, one of the largest single hospital projects in Geometrix's portfolio, and a demonstration of what Indian architectural firms can deliver on an international commission. At ₹420 crores, this is a serious infrastructure build. Hospital architecture at this scale demands more than good design; it requires a precise understanding of clinical workflow, infection control zoning, department planning, and medical infrastructure coordination. Getting it wrong means operational problems that affect patient care for decades. Geometrix handled the full architectural scope: site master planning, department and ward layout, OT and ICU zoning, patient and staff circulation separation, MEP and HVAC coordination for sterile environments, and facade design. The brief prioritised operational efficiency alongside a patient-centric environment, functional flow and comfort, not one at the expense of the other. Iraq's healthcare infrastructure has seen significant investment since 2010, with Baghdad being the primary hub for speciality hospital development. A project like Al Faez, large-scale, privately commissioned, and designed to international healthcare standards, reflects that growth.
